Sometimes the ThunderCats pop up in the most unusual places. Even the most hardcore TCat fans, like myself, are forced to blink twice and say: 'Huh?' Are these drug flashbacks? Possibly? Figments of our TCats soaked imaginations? Probably. No!
Sometimes the ThunderCats will show thier unforgettability by popping up in pop-culture situations and blatant rip-offs. I offer the following as proof.

This photo was actually a press release for a live action ThunderCats show that died (thankfully) before it could hit the airwaves. Now, I like Lion-O's stage make-up and even his hair, but DAMN!, couldn't they find somebody better-looking to play Cheetara? And wasn't Tygra supposed to have stripes or something?
This little charmer is a screen grab from the short-lived animated show 'The Family Guy'. On one episode, Bryan (the dog) delivered a song and dance routine about everything that had happened in America since the '40s. And by the Gods, the ThunderCats got a mention for the '80s!
I know a couple of things about the costumes are wrong, but I just want three answers: Why is Panthro looking at Lion-O *that way*, where is Panthro's other hand, and why does Lion-O look so incredibly pissed?
This is a doctored pic from Wizard magazine #131 trumpeting the ThunderCats return to comics. I tried to keep the size to a minimum, so if you can't read the words, just click on the pic and you'll get a full sized version.
There's also a very tasty sneak preview of the comic, but I'm not scanning in the whole thing. Go spend your own money, if you get everything for free, the artists can't afford to eat. Do you really want that on your concience? Well, do you?
Another gem from Wizard magazine. That's right; in thier Last Man Standing feature, they posed the hypothetical question of who would win in a fight between Lion-O and He-Man. Of course, Wizard's pick of the winner was so idiotic I won't even waste nerve impulses typing it up here.
Hmmf; He-Man beating Lion-o, how dumb! Don't they know Lion-O can control all cats? All he would have to do would be to tap into Battle Cat's mind. He-Man would have been kibble before he could say: "Cringer, what the hell's wrong with you?!"
AHahahaha! Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! Ah! Ah! Ahhh! Okay, this . . . mmmmmm *snort* Ahahahahahahaha!!!! Okay, okay, I got it out of my system now. Heeheeeheee. This is a pin up by Francisco Herrera that was in the back of ThunderCats #0. Apparently, someone said:"Nobody could make the Mutants look normal next to the ThunderCats." and Mr. Herrera replied: "I love a challenge."

That's right, Cats and Kittens. The ThunderCat football jersey. All number 83 'cause, well, they were copyrighted in 1983, get it? Heehee, whoever designed this was just as easily entertained as me! You can order these on-line, but I bought mine at Gadzooks. Yes, I admit that I own one of these fine garments with pride. Should I be proud? Probably not.
I swear to Sekhmet I am not making this up. This little beauty reared its head in a ThunderCats annual, which was only published in the UK. The only thing I can think is that 'poontang' doesn't mean the same thing across the pond that it means in the good old U.S. of A. Either that, or this is comic history's greatest example of slipping one past the censors. >:)
This is so very wrong. I think I laughed for a half hour straight when I saw this. Come on, folks, this could not be an accident. You couldn't make this shot look more homoerotic while both characters were still clothed. Not only is the G-Force guy handling the Sword a bit too intimately, why does he have his mouth open so wide?! And what's coming out of Lion-O's mouth?! It's just so wrong . . .
