The Olde Thundera RPG began in April of 2002 under the name The Purrsia Thunder RPG. Purrsia, fortunately or un, however you look at it, has decided to step down as GM to focus on her writing and has left the game in my hands. (Yeah, that's the 'un' part) Luckily for my, my co-GM, Feycat has much more gaming experience than I have and is managing to keep me on the straight and narrow.
Feycat is in charge of the 'Mutant' side of the game and has created a multi-party political system on Plun-Darr. The Mutants are definitely more than slovenly idiots in this game, so don't be deterred by that.
The Game
The Olde Thundera RPG takes place five years before Thundera explodes. Claudus is still sighted, Grune is still a ThunderCat, and Lion-O is just a boy. Most of the action on Thundera takes place in the capital city, Thundera City. The Mutant half of the game takes place on the Thundera Base, a hidden Mutant base on Thundera, and on Plun-Darr itself.
It was recently decided to chuck canon straight out the window. This means anything goes. Thundera doesn't have to explode, Grune can stay good, canon characters can be killed, maimed, or marry and have children.
The game is currently in the midst of a plague plot. An illness similar to bacterial memengitis has ravaged both Thundera City and the Thundera Base. But this doesn't limit the characters to either being deathly ill or desperately searching for a cure; people still have to live and work, so don't let that put you off.
The Characters
Custom characters are allowed in the RPG, provided you play at least one canon character. For the purpose of this RPG, Plun-Darrian royalty will also be considered 'canon'.
Thunderians and Plun-Darrians are the main groups to draw from. No Lunattacks (sorry Cheezey), and unless you can think of a damned good reason for him to be there, no Mumm-Ra. The following characters are available.
